DC Collectibles has brought us some awesome stuff over the last few years but the inclusion of the Animated Series was a game changer for many collectors. Looking back over the years we have received many awesome Batman collectibles but the animated series from Kenner Toys is something truly special. Maybe it’s just the nostalgia associated with the show or it could be the start of the golden age of modern collecting; personally I believe it’s a combination of both.
When news broke that DC Collectibles was incorporating the line into their portfolio I was ecstatic. Unlike the Kenner toys, these new figures are highly articulated and screen accurate. Even with the quality control issues DC had to address early on, these are some of the best figures on the market. This past Toy Fair gave us some exciting releases to look forward too. The Batmobile has to be one of the most anticipated releases for the line and after seeing this piece up close, it will not disapoint. Take a look at some of the highlights for the Animated Series that will be shipping this year. Also look for Robin, Manbat and the Joker to hit next week.
